Recognizing Excellence
AIA is the leader in recognizing excellence in people and products. The AIA Luncheon/Awards Program at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) features the presentation of the AIA People Awards to men and women who have made significant contributions to the import automotive aftermarket. The AIA Awards Program also recognizes the winners of the AIA Import Product Awards for innovative products and marketing programs designed to serve the import aftermarket. The AIA Import Product Awards are announced in a separate presentation at the AIA Import Product Awards Display Area.
No membership in AAIA or its AIA Segment is required for the AIA People and Import Product Awards. Our People Awards are presented each year during the AAPEX Show at the Awards Luncheon.

AIA People Awards
The AIA People Awards recipients – The AIA Person of the Year Award, AIA Hall of Fame Awards, AIA Lifetime Achiever Award and AIA Young Executive of the Year – are determined based on nominations submitted by AIA members.

AIA Import Product Awards
The AIA Import Product Awards Program is open to entries from all AAPEX exhibitors and provides awards in seven categories:
- Best overall import aftermarket product.
- Best new product for import cars or trucks.
- Best new performance product or accessory for imported cars or trucks.
- Best merchandising/advertising of a product for import cars or trucks.
- Best new packaging of a product for import cars or trucks.
- Best new catalog of a product line for import cars or trucks.
- Best Web site presentation of a product line for import cars or trucks
